Thank everyone for the answers.

I looked into ggmap but could not find how to plot a map that would like
this:

http://www.google.ca/trends/explore#q=flu

I looked into get_map but it can only be of this type:

maptype = c("terrain", "satellite", "roadmap", "hybrid", "toner",
"watercolor")

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards,
Phil
