In addition, if you go to https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help (which is in the footer of every R-help message), you'll find a link to 'R-help Archives' (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/). On that latter page, you'll see all messages that have been sent out to the list. That will allow you to make sure your message went out.
