I am sorry I forgot to mention - I just looked in the Documents\R\win-Library directory and only found folders for previous R versions, specifically R3.0, 3.1 and 3.4. So I must have deleted the R3.5 folder as you initially advised or it was removed during the un-installation. Unless I am misunderstanding what you mean by the R3.5 personal package library?
