The one-liner is
mapply(function(x,y) lm(y~x,data=data.frame(x,y)),xg,yg,
SIMPLIFY=FALSE)
Perhaps easier to understand:
results <- list()
for (i in seq(along=xg)) {
results[[i]] <- lm(yg[[i]]~xg[[i]])
}
