Hi, since nearly 2 hours I try to install the stats package which includes the prcomp package for principal component analysis. I can not find the stats package via the R paket-repository. I found the following url (http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/library/stats/) which includes 2 files: stats.rdb and stats.rdx. I downloaded both files and tried to install them via the R installer choosing local packets (binary and source) but both variants failed.
