Exactly? I think the visualization given at that URL could be improved. A barplot() in R might be a appropriate solution, because a histogram implies a continuous distribution (looks like a discrete one). You have to play with margin sizes in order to print all that text into the figure. barplot(), par(), and text() are your friends.
