A mailing list has been opened, and a collection of web pages assembled, to provide a joint forum for R spatial projects, where spatial data is understood mostly as geographical data.
The mailing list is for discussing the development and use of R functions and packages for handling and analysis of spatial, and particularly geographical, data. The list also covers mapping and cartographic issues, and interfaces between R and geographical information systems.
