Hello I'm starting to use R on a Windows XP Pro machine which is not connected to the internet;
I want to use database connection so I downloaded the file "RODBC_1.0-4.tar" from CRAN; this file is not accepted by the "Packages->Install Packages from local zip file" menu function of R!!! I would like to know why it doesn't work and if it's possible to get database connection on a windows machine?
