I'm using R 1.8.0 under windows XP. I can't get certain of the graphics devices set
up. For example, when I copy this line directly from the "postscript" help screen, I
get the error messages that follow it:
> postscript("foo.ps")
Error in PS(file, old$paper, old$family, old$encoding, old$bg, old$fg, :
unable to start device PostScript
In addition: Warning message:
cannot read afm file hvo_____.afm
I have a similar problem with the pdf device (which I think is my preferred device for
my present job):
> pdf("myfile.pdf")
Error in PDF(file, old$family, old$encoding, old$bg, old$fg, width, height, :
unable to start device pdf
In addition: Warning message:
cannot read afm file hvo_____.afm
Any suggestions would be welcome.
