Yes, for a suitable definition of `CD'. (You need the extensions which allow long file names and lower-case chars.) You will need some disc area where you unpack the files from the R installer. Then just write the top-level directory (rw1091 or whatever) and all its contents to CD-R. The Windows installation (but not the Unix one) is relocatable as it only uses relative file paths. -- Brian D.
