A small practical point: you need to remove.packages("gregmisc") manually
if you update.packages to this version, or you will be continually asked
to update the gremisc package which no longer exists.No one has previously ever changed a package into a bundle not containing a package of the same name, so the update software is not smart enough to remove the old gregmisc *package* when installing the bundle. (It will probably continue to be not smart enough in future.)
