Hi, I am trying to use glmmPQL package for Generalized linear mixed models. This package works by repeated calls to lme. lme uses by default REML method for estimation. Then, does glmmmPQL use REML too? In contrast, how can I change it? I have tried it, writing : method="REML", but the program says: invalid method REML.
