It happens with R-2.0.1 pre-compiled binary from CRAN for Windows, on XPPro
SP2. Weird...
BTW, I'd recommend Jose to do something like:
simCS <- function(Mpop=0, Vpop=1, N=1e4, n=10, sr=1e4, nchist=150) {
pop = rnorm(N, Mpop, sqrt(Vpop)) # pop~N(Mpop,Vpop)
CScal <- replicate(sr, sum(sample(pop, n, replace=TRUE)^2))
