Hi,
Semi-variogram is defined as sum of observation difference between pairs
of certain range of distance divided by 2N.
Gamma(h) = 1 / 2N(h) (Sum (z(u)-z(u+h))^2)
You can take look 'GSLIB: Geostatistical Software Library and User's
Guide' Oxford University Press (CV Deutsch & AG Journel).
I'm new to R, so I don't really know spatial analysis package, but I'm
sure there is. If not you can use GSLIB, which is almost as
user-unfriendly as R - at least for me.
Hope this helps.
