It's the same for me (The AMD64 is just a box). So, as you sugest (use an over computer to browse the help) I have share the "/usr/lib64/R " directory of the "R server " by samba and acces to the main page : file://///My-R-ServerAMD64Name/R-Doc/html/index.html And it's work fine. I need to use the R help of the "R-server" because there is a lot of package install on the server and it will be a lot a "work / space disk" to install/update these package on a over computer for the help.
