Yet another Windows solution without winfig: 1. Create a postscript image in R 2. Open this image in Ghostscript 3. Select a reasonable resolution using "Display Settings" in ghostscript 4. Copy the image via clipboard into your favorite image viewer (e.g. IrfanView) 5. Save the image in the required format.
