We are seeking statisticians with R or S-Plus experience. The
Statistician is a vital member of a highly talented cross-functional
team that delivers market research projects to our clients.
Responsibilities
* Work with state-of-the-art data collection, analysis, and
visualization strategies for product and service optimization.
* Collaborate company-wide with project managers, sales, product
managers, etc. and the client to identify business initiatives, and
solve business problems
* Help develop and design new statistical tools
Skills and Experience
* MS or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, statistical genetics,
econometrics, or other quantitative fields
* 3+ years experience in research design and statistical modeling
in a business environment (marketing, market research, etc.)
* Modeling experience in linear and nonlinear regression, logistic
regression, cluster analysis or other multivariate methods required
* Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
* Experience with latent-class models
* Experience with conjoint and discrete choice models
* Experience with Bayesian models and simulation models
* Proficiency with R, S-Plus a must, further experience with SAS,
Stata, Matlab, and SPSS a plus.
* Knowledge of multi-dimensional visualization techniques.
* Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions,
and translate results into visuals the client can understand
* Success at working on cross-functional teams to meet a common
goal
* Experience communicating with internal and/or external customers
* Creative and independent thinker. Strong initiative
* Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods and/or other
consumer-oriented industries
* Experience with survey design and delivery, Exposure to genetic
and evolutionary computation, Proficiency with Excel (graphical
functions and VBA), Experience with Java, SQL, VBA all a plus.
