Dear All, Thanks for your replies and interest so far. I guess R pretty much covers most of what imsl offers but the area that I really wanted to test imsl out was in the optimization functions. Though the imsl functions are not as rich as NUOPT (which is quite expensive) , imsl c v6 claims that it's much faster and solves a broader range of problems hence the need for a wrapper.
