This is from the summarize help file:
FUN: a function of a single vector argument, used to create the
statistical summaries for 'summarize'. 'FUN' may compute any
number of statistics.
It allows only one vector argument though it allows you to compute
multiple statistics using it. Please tell me if I am wrong. What would
you do it your function needs more than one vector arguments?
