Dear R experts,I have a question regarding the comparison of effects of
different factors on the chemical emitted by a plant species.The response
variable is a set of abundance of different chemicals. Effects of different
factors on this set of chemicals have been tested in independent experiments,
always testing 1 factor at the time.In order to test the effect of a single
factor on this set of chemicals I usually use a PERMANOVA (Adonis in vegan)
with a Bray-Curtis distance. Using independent PERMANOVA for each factor,
almost all the factors tested have a significant effect on the set of
chemicals.I m not sure if /and how I can compare the importance of the variance
induced by each factor.Do you have any idea?Thanks a lot in advanceMagali
