Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course: Design, Implement and Promote Species Monitoring in R Dates: 14–16 October (Online)
Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/species-monitoring-in-r/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/species-monitoring-in-r/ ) This course introduces the theory and practice of long-term species monitoring protocols, covering methods such as Census, Capture-Mark-Recapture (CMR), distance sampling, site occupancy, and N-mixture models. Through lectures and hands-on examples in R, participants will learn how to design monitoring protocols, select appropriate methods, and analyse data with reproducible workflows. By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Define research questions related to species monitoring Choose and apply suitable analysis methods Develop effective field protocols Analyze monitoring data using provided R scripts Daily schedule: 09:00–12:30 (Berlin time): Live lectures + guided practicals Afternoon: Self-paced practicals with annotated R scripts Best regards, Carlo -------------------- Carlo Pecoraro, Ph.D Physalia-courses DIRECTOR i...@physalia-courses.org mobile: +49 17645230846 [ Bluesky ]( https://bsky.app/profile/physaliacourses.bsky.social ) [ Linkedin ]( https://www.linkedin.com/in/physalia-courses-a64418127/ ) [[alternative HTML version deleted]] _______________________________________________ R-sig-ecology mailing list R-sig-ecology@r-project.org https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-sig-ecology
