Hello,

I was wondering who to contact to see about somehow interconnecting or
integrating the programs R and Epi Info. I have been involved in the
development of Epi Info which is a software program developed by CDC
(www.cdc.gov/epiinfo<http://www.cdc.gov/epiinfo>). Epi Info allows for
creating data entry systems and performs certain epidemiologic and statistical
analyses. Currently Epi Info is in the public domain and I believe future
versions will be open source. It might be useful to pull together some of the
Epi Info development team members and R team members to discuss how the
programs might complement each other. Note that I send this e-mail as an
effort to combine the efforts of these two groups and this is not an official
request from CDC.

  Thanks, Kevin
