Dear R users,
I would like to know how to identify the polygons that are located on the
edge of a map (shapefile). Do you have any suggestion on how to do it?
I am wondering: if I could calculate the perimeter of the polygons and the
length of the common border with its neighbours, it would be quite easy to
locate the border. Polygons on the border have perimeters that are longer
that the common border. Is this the right way to do it?
