Dear all,
We are pleased to announce our upcoming course: Spatial Data Visualisation in R
Dates: 17–19 June 2025 Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Berlin time) Format: Online
Course website: [
https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/spatial-dataviz/ ](
https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/spatial-dataviz/ )

This course provides a practical introduction to spatial data analysis and
visualization using R, with a focus on ecological applications. Participants
will gain hands-on experience with spatial matrices and point patterns, remote
sensing data, and colorblind-friendly design for scientific figures.

Key learning outcomes include:

Visualizing spatial and temporal variability in ecological datasets

Creating RGB plots and using ggplot2 with raster matrices

Simulating and mapping species distributions

Designing accessible scientific visualizations for colorblind readers
No prior experience with R is required.

Best regards, Carlo
