As a Statistician/Programmer, you will: *Collaborate & support the National Cancer Institute in their work studying genomics, cancer rates, determinants of cancer, cancer treatment, & prevention *Develop statistical methods and data analysis procedures to analyze genomic studies, observational studies, intervention, trials & laboratory studies *Conduct statistical analysis, interpret & publish their results *Work with cohort & case/control studies & population-based data sources to model trends in incidence, mortality & survival *Perform other programming & statistical analysis related duties as assigned To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements: *MS/PhD in Stat or related field from a U.S. DOE accredited institution with a 2.9+ GPA *0-5 years of experience *Experience with genetic analysis preferred *Knowledge of R *Knowledge of software development methodology *Knowledge of genetic research a plus *Knowledge of SAS, C, C++, & other higher level programming languages preferred *Familiarity with modern biostatistical analysis techniques including spatial analysis & survival analysis methods *Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication skills *Demonstrated ability to relay technical information to clients & users in layman terms *Demonstrated strong analytic & problem solving skills *Demonstrated customer service skills *Excellent attention to detail & organization skills *Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work within a team *Strong presentation skills preferred If this sounds like the right position for your career, apply today at: https://www.imsweb.com/employment/job.description.php?position=24733.
