Hi Tena, Similar things happen in my environment. The xlab and the numbers under tics are not shown on quartz, although the ylab and the numbers have no problem.
When I resize the quartz window with mouse, the hidden xlab and numbers appear. Once I resize the window, further plotting has no problem.
