Kristian,
Not sure if it can be done in R gui, but I've been using Rstudio lately and
it seems to have this feature. I've only used it for about a week though so
I'm not sure if it's really a good IDE yet or not.

Credit where credit is due: the 'feature' is the work of Deepayan
Sarkar and implemented in base R. It is up to individual IDEs whether
they hook up to it.

Hi there,
I recently switched to Mac and I wonder if there is any way to get the R
console to autocomplete names of list objects or slots of objects. The
command line version allows to type e.g. list$ and two times the tab
button and then comes up with the names of the list objects. Same for slots
of e.g. Eset objects
like eset. Unfortunately this does not work in the Mac R console.
Is there a key combination or shortcut that I am missing?
Best wishes
