Same thing here.

Starting R.app itself works perfectly fine, double-clicking a .R-file opens
R.app with an error message:
*** caught segfault ***
address 0x18, cause 'memory not mapped'

Possible actions:
1: abort (with core dump, if enabled)
2: normal R exit
3: exit R without saving workspace
4: exit R saving workspace
>
Selection:

I can ESC that and work as normal, so no major harm done.

I deleted the R-related folder in "Saved Application States" (~/Library),
because I got some hint that that may work; it didn't help. Re-installed R;
didn't help. Called my mother; didn't help.

Related, or not, R.app really freezes for good when I use CMD-D to change the
working directory. (The click-thing in "Misc" works.) Have to kill the
application from the Activity Manager to work on.

R itself works flawlessly, both on the command line and from RStudio.

Best wishes,

Carsten
