Peter, see the "last-success" section in the https://mac.r-project.org/ page which links to https://mac.r-project.org/high-sierra/last-success/ The main page only has a download link if the build was successful, but the above will retained the last successful build when if there is a problem with the current build (which is something I have to look into).
