Thanks for the swift response! Right I see, for some reason I wasn’t associating the Mac tools page with R-devel (since some packages need compilation even if you normally install binaries and that’s why I ended up looking that page up) and I did not connect the R-release to “Big Sur build”.
maybe it can be pointed out on the tools page that if the user got to that page to compile specific packages rather than compile R, then they should check which gfortran is been used for the released version or something like that? :) ───────────── Dr Stefano Coretta ───────────── [ˈsteːfano koˈrɛtta] Lecturer (Assistant Professor) Linguistics and English Language School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences University of Edinburgh s.core...@ed.ac.uk<mailto:s.core...@ed.ac.uk> https://stefanocoretta.github.io<https://stefanocoretta.github.io/> https://uoelel.github.io<https://uoelel.github.io/> ───────────── ________________________________ From: Simon Urbanek <simon.urba...@r-project.org> Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2025 7:00:39 PM To: peter dalgaard <pda...@gmail.com> Cc: Stefano Coretta <s.core...@ed.ac.uk>; r-sig-mac@r-project.org <r-sig-mac@r-project.org> Subject: Re: [R-SIG-Mac] gfortran 12 vs 14 This email was sent to you by someone outside the University.
