Someone on the list had that problem earlier - please update your
MySQL. There are some MySQL binaries with broken libraries around and
this is one of them. You can try to run ranlib on it, but I believe
it didn't help - just get updated MySQL. Should you still experience
problems, please tell us the versions of all components involved
(gcc, MySQL, R and OS).
