Seth, there is a problem with the automatic packaging process, so for now you can install R-devel from the tar-ball via curl http://r.research.att.com/R-devel-tiger-universal.tar.gz | sudo tar fxz - -C /
The dmg should be of roughly the same size as the tar-ball. I'm looking into it and keep you updated.
