Hello all,
I'm using the tuneR package on Max OS X for sound generation, and I
have had much difficulty with .wav playback. If I set the wave player
to QuickTime, then there are a number of problems that crop up: the
player opens a new instance of QuickTime on every call, I have to hit
the escape key to get R to continue, and it usually gives several error
messages. I know it's possible to send arguments to the player on call
via the play(object,player, ...) method, but the "/play /close"
arguments are for Windows Media Player and seem to have no effect on
QuickTime. I've tried VLC, but I can't get it to work smoothly either.
Is there another player (built-in or 3rd party) that would work better
for this application?
