Dear List,
I'm sorry if this question is a bit naive for the regular
commentators to R-Sig-Mac but I would like to download and install
the latest stable 64-bit R to run under Mac OS X 10.5.1 on a MacPro
and I'm having difficulty knowing where to download this from. I've
looked on the http://r.research.att.com/ page and while I can see 2
leopard builds on the Nightly builds I can't see a link to download
these (R-2.6-branch x86_64 and R-devel x86_64), but only for their
logs. The only packages I can see for download are for Tiger (R-2.6-
branch-tiger-universal.tar.gz and R-2.6-branch-44199.dmg - the 1st
link downloads but the 2nd link only opens a blank web page of
address http://r.research.att.com/R-2.6-branch-44199.dmg. (I also
tried downloading the Mac OS X GUI diskimages and only 1 of the 3 of
these (R-GUI-4878-2.7-Deployment.dmg) actually downloaded.
I'd be grateful of any advice that could be provided to help me
download 64-bit R for Mac OS X.
