[R-SIG-Mac] HOW CAN I INSTALL FROM THE SOURCE A PACKAGE CONTAINING C++ CODE?

        Dear all:
        I am unable to install the package XSA 
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=108356 
in my MACs (tiger and leopard). XSA contains C++ 
code and the binary is only available for i386 
architecture. How can I proceed from the source?
