the new version of LME4 (0.99375-13) installs (and works!) on a Power PC Mac (OS X 10.4.10). However, it will not load on an Intel Mac (also OS X 10.4.10). I get the following message:
Error in dyn.load(file, ...) : unable to load shared library '/Users/stevenorzack/Library/R/2.6/library/lme4/libs/i386/lme4.so': dlopen(/Users/stevenorzack/Library/R/2.6/library/lme4/libs/i386/lme4.so, 6): Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libgfortran.2.dylib Referenced from: /Users/stevenorzack/Library/R/2.6/library/lme4/libs/i386/lme4.so Reason: image not found Error: package/namespace load failed for 'lme4' help will be much appreciated!
