Hi, This is an update on the use of TextWrangler as an external editor for R.
The module for getting syntax highlighting can be found in: http://dataninja.wordpress.com/2006/02/28/r-language-module-for-textwrangler-and-a-lot-of-other-editors/ The applescript to send lines to execute in R can be found in: http://dataninja.wordpress.com/2006/01/06/r-for-textwrangler-applescript For convenience, auto-pair characters (as in TextMate) can be activated in TextWrangler by Autopairs, found in: http://www.jwwalker.com/pages/autopairs.html The only problem is that sometimes when the script is executed (i.e. send a line from the editor to R) both menus overlap on top (the one from R and the one from TextWrangler).
