Hi,
I have since worked out that it is related to one file opened in the
editor. I don't know if anyone else has encountered this error or if it
is helpful to anyone.
I am getting a segfault error in R when I type a single or double quote
into the editor.
The error I was getting is:
"The actual error is:
caught segfault
address 0xc0000023, cause 'memory not mapped'
possible actions..."
I discovered what the problem was after doing some testing for this post.
The fault doesn't occur in a new file or other files that I have been
working on. Also when I have copied the contents of the problem file into
a new file, I was unable to replicate the error.
I am using a Macbook with OS X 10.5.4, 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM.
My version of R is 2.7.1 GUI 1.25 (5166)
