Sorry, I meant to say to use library() not load() in the command
window.

Hi Dave,
I've also had problems with the Package manager. I haven't
figured out how to use packages that I've downloaded directly
from the cran website.
I found another way of doing it instead: in the R Package
Installer, choose CRAN (sources). Then click "Get List". You can
install packages from the list (with location set to "At system
level"). Then they load just fine using the load() function in
the command window.
I hope this helps. If someone else knows of another way to
install downloaded packages, I would be interested to learn
because it has caused me some frustration.
thanks,
Mollie

Greetings,
My apologies if this is a very simple question. I downloaded
and installed a couple of packages today. In the package
manager in R for Mac (version 2.7.2), I find that when I try to
load the package, I can't. The load button never clicks on.
Why is that? As an example, I'm trying to use Ryacas. Thanks
in advance,
David
