Hello - I am attempting to run Sciviews-K with 64-bit R (downloaded from the At&t site) on Mac OS 10.6.1, but keep getting and error. Here is the sequence of events that led to my problem:
(1) I installed 32-bit R and Komodo & followed the instructions for Sciviews-K. This worked without issue, with Komodo edit and R interacting wonderfully. (2) I decided to instead install 64-bit R (from http://r.research.att.com/exp/, R 2.9.2 GUI 1.29 Leopard build 64-bit). I removed 32-bit R and Komodo & installed 64-bit R and reinstalled Komodo. (3) I again followed the instructions for Sciviews-K. Under the menu R -> Preferred R application, I now have 4 choices (i) R app, (ii) R64 app, (iii) R terminal, (iv) R tk. Now, when I start R from within Komodo (menu R -> Start R), R starts, but Komodo will not talk to R and I now receive the following error when R starts: Error in library(package, lib.loc = lib.loc, character.only = TRUE, logical.return = TRUE, : 'svMisc' is not a valid installed package I receive the same error for R64 app and R terminal. Interestingly, when I open R by itself, svMisc shows up as being installed under "R package Installer", but not in my list of installed packages under "R package manager". Any ideas?
