I haven't had input about the following question - please any
comments/suggestions/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much
in advance. Megan

Dear list users

I'm aware that one cannot perform a pGEE if there are multiple data points
per species in a pGEE, however I'm analyzing floral trait data on a
dioecious genus, Leucadendron, thus have two data points (male and female)
for each species. I was wondering whether one could create infrageneric
sister taxa (one male taxon, one female taxon per species) with zero branch
lengths for the subtaxa, thus allowing me to incorporate the affect of
gender into my pGEE? Would you consider this approach so phylogenetically
and statistically unsound as to invalidate any results?

Thank you
