Not meaning to start a religious war but what are people's feelings
about using S-Plus with beginners? I see it as a possible alternative
to one of the GUI interfaces for R. It might be easy for beginners,
but helps one learn the S language. After the class is over they
could buy S-Plus or use R. (Yes, I know the student version of S-Plus
is not as easy to access as the free R GUIs.)
