Hi Jeff Thanks for getting in touch. As academics ourselves, we're hosting this seminar as part of our efforts to reduce barriers to stats education. By allowing participants to focus on statistical principles rather than coding formalities, we've found ChatGPT (and Copilot) to be incredible tools for decreasing the workloads of folks who are new to stats in particular - but really anyone wanting to increase their efficiency can benefit.
Typically when teaching we usually have to teach statistics + coding/software. By using ChatGPT the purpose of the seminar is to show how this latter component can be drastically streamlined. This leads to people being more interested in learning statistics rather than overwhelmed. I hope this puts it in some context and thanks again.
