Philippe, thanks, I guess I missed the error message the first time 
(small font, different part of the screen from where the "Upload" button 
is...)

I added a page to the wiki describing the RSVGTipsDevice package and I 
had wanted to include an SVG image precisely because of the special 
abilities of SVG -- pop-up tool-tips identifying points.  So, using 
another graphics format pretty much defeats the purpose.  But, I 
included an external link to the SVG image.
