Here's my problem with this dramatization of Terry's story (and I love the story, which I've used with writing classes to illustrate how much can be done with dialogue alone) -- the alien who's being informed seems to never have heard these concepts before. Yet he's in some version of human form, surrounded by meaty humans, smoking a cigarette -- it didn't seem to add up.
