Another flub was "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for
mankind." Man and Mankind have the same meaning in that context. I never
realized it until that NY Times article. That's why the correct quote from
Arthur C. Clarke that Armstrong flubbed should have been, "That's one small
step for a man......."

I didn't realize that Princess Diana actually married her father-in-law,
Prince Philip!.
