Neil Gaiman won the 2009 Newbery Medal for his new kids' chapter book (which is also a bestseller right now), The Graveyard Book. Its about a boy raised by ghosts after his parents are killed. I may have to find a copy next time I'm at B and N, probably the next R-spec meeting.
