NO, please DON'T send Dave comments to re-post! I've reconfigured the comments feature so that it requires only contact information and CAPTCHA performance to post, with no approval required. So anonymous users can now post comments with impunity. I'll add the recent comments block back onto the right sidebar if we're going to get comments.
I've also taken off the lock on registration. You can self-register (which gets you a user profile and a contact form, if you want to bother with those things); the registration will be subject to administrator approval. If you'd like to register, you can do it here: http://r-spec.org/user/register [Also available via the "Register" link in the footer.] About comments: Comments were being queued for approval because I've had a lot of bad experiences with comment spam in the past and didn't want to run the risk of being bitten again until I had better protection installed. But other sites seem to be doing OK with just captcha, so I'm going to risk it.
