Here's a great article about Sam Raimi, his new movie, the similarities between the structure of comedy and horror scenes. It's a subject apropos of our next meeting, which is on weird fiction, horror, and the differences between the written page and the big screen. It makes me wonder what the world would be like without the Evil Dead movies and if any of us would know what a "boomstick" was if it had been in a book.
