Hi guys, The antho is being proof-read as a completed manuscript and Jonathan, as our Marketing Director, is taking the lead as we transition to marketing phase. Our book designer, David P., will be meeting with WaB in the next week to finalize the cover selection and will also finish up corrections. If all goes as planned, we'll have at least one copy of the printed book to ogle at the August R-SPEC meeting.
As we launch the first antho, we will want to promote the second, so we'll need to be ready. At our last R-SPEC meeting, some nifty ideas were floated for our next antho. One idea that spawned lengthy excited discussion was inviting stories that are set in a Rochester area that had a different history. What if Kodak was based in Ithaca instead of here? What if the Iroquois still governed here? What if a large goose-shaped asteroid had struck Penfield in 1984 and uncovered haunted radioactive pirate booty? Okay, more seriously, what if everyone commuted to work from on the Erie Canal? How would this place, this people, be different? What do you think?
